AYUSH-64 is an ayurvedic medicine for the treatment of malaria. It is developed by CCRCS (Center council for research in ayurvedic sciences). This drug’s ingredients showed antiviral, immune-modulator and antipyretic properties. These properties have a high binding affinity against COVID-19 virus and influenza-like illness. AYUSH-64 has been identified as a potential medication in the management of asymptomatic, mild, and moderate COVID-19. It can be used to improve clinical recovery and quality of life.
CCRCS advised that It can be taken by any person of any age at any stage of COVID-19. However, it is tested & studied scientifically in asymptomatic, mild and moderate cases of covid-19 without risks of poor outcome and those who do not require hospitalization. Any person who is in the said state is eligible to take AYUSH-64. In lucid terms, If any person who is being tested with covid-19 out of the RT-PCR test and showing mild-moderate symptoms including fever, malaise, body ache, nasal congestion, headache & nasal discharge without hospitalization can start taking AYUSH-64 within 7 days of diagnosis.
AYUSH-64 has significant benefits on general health, fatigue, anxiety, stress, appetite, sleep, and general wellbeing. Patients showing asymptomatic signs of covid-19 can take 2 tablets of 500 mg twice daily one hour after the meals with lukewarm water for 14 days. However, it can taken up to 12 weeks as per the qualified ayush practitioner. The dose for mild to moderate cases should be thrice a day and rest will be the same as stated earlier. Loose motions can occur in some patients, which is self-limiting and does not require any medical intervention further. It is a complete safe medication and it is scientifically proven.
AYUSH-64 can be taken by those people who get infected even after taking vaccination. However, evidence in favor of this has not been scientifically assured. If a person has some previous ongoing complications then he/she should consult with the ayush physician.
