Home Remedies for Fair complexion

There are many kinds of ayurvedic remedies available to make your skin glowing and beautiful. We have mentioned a few of the very effective remedies:

  1. Lemon Juice

  • Add 2 full lemon Juice in a bucket of cold water in the summertime.
  • Bath with that water for a few months.
  • During winters you can switch it with warm water.
  • By bathing in lemon juice the skin pores open up which leads to a fair complexion.
  • It does not give a glow to the skin but also cures different skin diseases.

2. Tamarind Paste

  • Take half a cup of Tamarind and soak it in one glass of water.
  • Grind it properly to make a fine paste.
  • Apply it on your skin and leave for 15-20 minutes.
  • Wash it off with warm water.
  • This will give you blemish-free skin with a bright tone. 
  • It also removes hyperpigmentation and spots.
  • Do it twice a week and continue for one month.

   3. Almond Milk

  • Soak 4-5 almonds in the water in the morning.
  • Remove the peel in the evening and add 2 tsp of buffalo milk to it.
  • Grind it into the finest paste that turns into almond milk.
  • Apply this milk to your skin and leave it overnight.
  • The next day wash it with cold water.
  • After 15 days you will see a much brighter and fair complexion.
  • It will work like magic if you first scrub your skin with gram flour. As it will remove the dead skin cells.

Additional Treatments

  1. Consume 1 Amla (Gooseberry) Murabba daily, for two to three months. This will give you fair skin.
  2. Take one cup of milk, mix 4-5 original saffron petals, and 1 cardamom in it. Boil the milk and consume it daily to get a golden glow on your skin.
  3. Consume half glass of carrot juice on empty stomach. (Do not add anything like an ice cube or salt) Take it in the morning and evening for about 15 days. By this blood gets purified and hemoglobin levels increase which makes your skin brighter.
  4. You can alternatively grate carrot and apple and consume them together. This will give a soft, supple, blemish-free glowing skin.

DIY Fair Complexion Cream

Curd-Turmeric Brightening Cream: 
A simple homemade skin brightening cream that you can prepare at home and it will not give any side effects too.
  • Take almost 2 cups of curd, combine a pinch of turmeric powder, one tablespoon of honey, two tablespoons of lemon juice, and 3-4 pieces of almonds.
  • Then, make a paste of all the ingredients with a help of a mixer/grinder.
  • The resulting creamy paste is then ready for use.
Care Tips: Keep it in an airtight jar away from direct sunlight, preferably inside a refrigerator. You can use it for one week then make it again for the next week.

Foods for Fair complexion

Topical treatments are not as good as inner nutrition. Therefore it is necessary to change the diet as well. To get fair looking skin one should intake the following:

  • Gooseberry
  • Fruits like Apple, Grapes,  Pomegranate
  • Citrus items such as Lemon, Orange, and tomatoes
